MEDIATION
One area of interest for Richard is in mediation. Richard and his wife Janet received their initial training in the mid 90’s. Richard has been trained in most every area of mediation. He was asked to serve on the Nebraska Justice Center Board. His 10 years of service included hundreds of hours of mediations for the center. From simple post-divorce visitation disputes, to federal court sexual harassment claims, to victim offender cases, to complicated large group (on one occasion the entire small community) facilitations, Richard has helped individuals and organizations find common ground and develop solutions to their problems. This training and experience helps let the participants find their own solutions rather than imposing an outsider’s decision. For his efforts, Richard has been recognized and given the designation of Certified Master Mediator.
